JOURNEY OF AN EDUCATOR & ARTISTE

No stranger to the performing scene, Josh gave public Piano & Electone performances since 9 years of age. He was awarded the Grand Prix at the prestigious International Electone Concours 2004. 1st ever for a Singaporean; a record not broken till date.

Josh was interviewed by both the Yamaha International Magazine, and Singapore’s Straits Times, in recognition for his achievement for Singapore and was commended by The National Arts Council.

He has also been instructing on the Piano and Electone for 17 years; besides an accomplished performer; having been invited to perform regionally in arenas attended by more than 10 thousand people.

JRSimplicity is an extension to his beliefs that learning music, in particular the Piano and Electone should be simple, life-long and purposeful; without dealing with the emotional complexities

of chasing grades for peer to peer comparisons. This approach to music education has served him well in nurturing pupils who will love and play music for life besides attaining good grades in a meaningful fashion.
